With warmer weather and calmer waters, the month of May is a great time to go fishing on the gulf coast. Many fish have begun there migration and are usually and easy target for most of he inshore fleet. The warmer water brings our big trout out of the rivers getting them ready for the spawn. This gives you the opportunity to catch plenty of fish with the chance of landing a giant trout! Most of our morning trips will begin on the flats chasing those big trout. After the sun gets up we will slide down towards pensacola pass to target spanish mackerel on the nearshore wrecks and beach out in the Gulf of Mexico. May also brings some offshore seasons into play Amber jack and trigger fish can be caught a little further off the beach. With many wreck close to shore you are almost assured to get something pulling drag!
Captain Kenny Way has been fishing the waters of Pensacola Bay and the Gulf of Mexico all of his life. He was born and raised in Pensacola and is happy to call it home with his wife Summer.
